Multi skilled/Multi site maintenance engineer

Job Overview

This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised and practical individual to work within our Maintenance Team.   To set up, maintain and perform repairs to all machinery within NDE, to cover additional sites when required.    You will work closely with your colleagues and the Production Team to help ensure our machinery and equipment is always operational.

As a Multi skilled maintenance engineer your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Comply with all Health and safety environmental guidelines, OEE of 90% or higher.
  • Machine tooling set ups, winding and injection moulding including safety checks.
  • Machine testing against set metrics.
  • Perform regular inspections as part of a TPM program.
  • Identifying faults and effect repairs electrical /mechanical / hydraulic and pneumatic
  • Work well within a continuous improvement team to improve reliability and reduce defects/scrap.
  • OEE of 90% or higher.
  • Use and create Risk Assessments and SOPs for all tasks completed.
  • Ensure the correct technical documentation / drawings are being used.
  • Produce ‘first off’ or sample coils and special coils as part of NPI.
  • Programming of PLC and automation programming essential.
  • Adhering to Quality ISO accreditations.

  • Flexible – due to the nature of the role, some overtime, weekend working and the occasional night shift will be required to support manufacturing operations

Required Qualifications:

  • City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
  • City & Guilds 236 or NVQ level 3 in Electrical installation.
  • Electronics qualification desirable.
  • Previous experience of working within a production environment
  • Proficient understanding of manufacturing engineering equipment, especially process and production lines.
  • Experience with and ability to use a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Knowledge of PLC systems, automation, and control circuits.
  • Injection mould experience would be beneficial.
